Find the Perfect Frame: Glasses for Every Face Shape

With hundreds of frames in all shapes, sizes and colours to choose from, picking the most 
flattering frame for your patient’s face can be confusing. Follow these simple guidelines to 
assist you to narrow it down. While making conversation and discussing the customer’s 
needs, look at his/her face shape, nose bridge, pd, etc. Are there any bones “sticking out”? 

What are the prominent features we want to enhance or cover up? 
Do not say: “Your eyes are very close together therefore I want to select a frame to cover
it up.” Rather say after fitting the correct frame: “I really like the way the frame balances your
facial features.” Do not say: “I like the way this frame makes your long nose look shorter or 
your square jaw line look softer.” Rather say: “I really like the way the frame balances your
facial features and blends with your skin tone.
